This is the privacy notice for Otherline ("the app"). It reflects how the app actually operates today. What we store Otherline stores the onboarding details you provide (your preferred name, the turning point you describe, a short list of important people, your fork context, and optional profile hints such as hobbies and lifestyle), and every message exchanged with your alternate self. This data is used only to generate future years for your timeline and to keep the conversation coherent. How access is restricted Everyday application access is scoped per account through row-level security in our database: your account can only read your own timelines. Authorized service operators may access stored data when strictly required for security investigation, database maintenance, legal compliance, or direct user support. We do not sell your data and we do not use your conversation content for advertising. AI processing Messages and generation prompts are sent to a third-party model provider (Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway) to produce responses. Payloads are transmitted over TLS. We do not train models on your data. Deletion & data requests You can delete your local session at any time from Settings. To request permanent deletion of your account and every stored timeline, email us using the contact address below. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days. Retention Timelines and messages are retained as long as the account is active. Deleted lives are removed from the primary database; encrypted backups are rotated within 30 days. Minimum age Otherline is intended for users 16 and over. Do not use the service if you are younger. Operator, contact & jurisdiction Operator: Otherline (indie project). Contact: hello@otherline.live. Governing jurisdiction: this service is operated as a personal project; disputes are resolved under the laws applicable at the operator's residence at time of dispute. This page will be updated with a formal legal entity if and when one is established.
